Biography
I don't see many absolutes in my work. I enjoy working with my paintings in a variety of ways. Sometimes
I am led by a quick study or sketch, that develops into the end result, while maintaining some of the original composition.
Other times I begin with the paint directly on the canvas, with no guide, and allow the colors and their interaction to influence
what happens within the piece. Another way for me to get started is to abstract a scene or object, to start with a recognizable
framework and contort, erase, or dissolve pieces of it till the original image is virtually indistinguishable, creating a
new perception of an old image. These simple methods allow me to create original pieces which put the viewer in position
to have a truly genuine experience with a painting.
There
is a bit of thought to chew on for a while, hopefully that will give me enough time to think of something worthy to write
in my Biography section. Lots of luck!!!
